I bought this bumper because I feel like there will come a day when I will need to use my mod more often as the battery in my phone is starting to drain and not power me throughout the normal day . I also have projector and speaker modules and plan to use them more often than I currently do with my 'regular' phone case. However, this bumper is not the solution I was looking for. There are two issues that I'm not sure can be fully resolved with a case that can only cover the edges of the phone, and a third that's just an odd oversight. First and most important for me: The buttons are terribly dirty. When I press the volume down button, it also presses the power button, which means that either the screen goes black (sleep) or the phone asks if I want to turn off or restart. What doesn't happen is the volume down when I want it to. On the other hand, when I touch the power button (it's the second most common way to wake my phone since I don't use the fingerprint scanner), the volume button often activates. It worries me that my phone call will ring randomly while I'm at work (big problem for me in my job). So I doubt I'll be using this case much, if ever, just because of that button issue. Also, the corners of the case protrude slightly at the back, allowing you to rest your phone on a surface. without damaging the camera, they don't protrude at all, so the screen isn't protected in the same way. This is just an amazing oversight. Third, and least importantly, the bumper is difficult to attach and detach once it is in place. For example, I can take longer pages off the phone. This is probably inevitable, but I can guarantee that it will bother me in the long run and may even make the button issue mentioned at the beginning worse. my mods (which weren't in the other bumper I bought) but I doubt this will happen before I get a new phone and put my current phone in the role of a backup media device.
