I love the design, the size and the insulation! I always hand wash mine so it doesn't crack or clog the stain in the dishwasher due to the heat dry option! They do not insulate like Zeti or similar metal cups. I drink a lot of water so the size was 48 ounces! I like to see what I'm drinking! The large silicone straw is great! With a giant straw you can drink a lot of liquid quickly! I bought several different sizes. If you prefer not to use a straw, the drinking part is designed to fit comfortably in your mouth. It has a retractable part to cover the opening when traveling or just to close it. The sliding part can be removed for easy cleaning, as can the seal on the lid. I haven't tried drinking hot liquids in mine, so I can't give any information on that. If I pour a cold liquid, add ice and cover with lids, it stays cold unless I'm out in the sun for a few hours. I think that's if I were to use metal insulated drinkware where sunlight can't reach to heat it up! I fill my tall mug with ice, add water and it's done. I carry mine with me everywhere. It doesn't go very well with my cup holder, but I'll take it anyway! I recommend this if you drink a lot of cool or cold liquids.
