This perch is a huge improvement over our previous other design. We love that the handles are sturdy and, like most, attach under the perches at the top. As a result, our view out of our window is much less obstructed. In terms of strength, it's very sturdy and the suction cups work great. I soaked them in warm water for 5 minutes according to the instructions that came with them. I never knew I should do this before. As for the assembly, if you follow the instruction pictures they will not be correct. With this setting, the forearms will fall immediately when a cat jumps on them. Twist them in the opposite direction and it will be very strong. Also, my cats are not used to it yet. They worshiped their last, but she eventually died. We put the same cat blanket over it but they still haven't gotten used to it. We've had it for about a week now. He makes a little noise when cats jump on him. That's all I can think of that they don't like.
