I'd rather buy a new fuel pump for my 2005.
Better not buy a brand new fuel pump for my 2005 Trailblazer with an unstable fuel gauge. Tank off, pump out, old one off and new one on. Reassembled and still working perfectly X years later. Don't feel like you have to buy a brand new fuel pump just to fix an erratic gauge. This is the answer to your problem!
