It's good if sold in Memory

Before that I had several digital cameras, mainly Canon Powershots (A series). Here are the pros and cons of this camera: GOOD: The nice big 3 inch display makes it easy to compose shots. Difficult to go back to a camera with a smaller display after using it. Pretty easy to use. The menus are simply put together. Smaller than Powershot "A" series cameras. Features face detection for easier focusing/exposure. SDHC cards work great in this camera. BAD: The camera uses a proprietary USB/charge port. This means problems if you lose your USB cable or charger. The camera also uses a proprietary battery (but since it charges via the USB/charge port, you don't need to remove it from the camera to charge it). The electronic stabilization does not play a major role. This camera does not have optical stabilization. does not offer full manual control (user cannot directly set exposure time, etc.) Camera seems to have trouble focusing in macro mode. No AF assist light like some Canons. I take a lot of macro shots and often have to persuade the camera to focus on what I want. Contrary to what I think, setting the quality (e.g. 0.3M, 2M, 3MP, 6M, etc.) does not result in a lower resolution photo except in 0.3MP mode 2 -MP photos need to be resized for emailing etc. I am using a camera case with velcro and the camera strap sometimes gets caught in the velcro I pull to partially remove it The strap starts to come loose and stays on the Velcro (in other words, the camera strap started to wear out over time. This has never happened with Canon camera straps. The flash recovery time between flash shots can be longer than I sometimes wanted. TIPS : If you find that indoor shots are grainy ( very likely in AUTO mode as the camera seems to prefer high ISO settings (probably to reduce blur) set e MANUAL and set ISO to 400. Much better results you need to keep your hands fairly level keep it straight or use a tripod to avoid blur, but it's better than grainy photos. Good Choice for GGS Optical Glass LCD Screen Protector 3" for Digital Camera Overall I think it's a good camera if you're not paying full price or you're very picky. It's a good choice if you have a small camera with you One needs a large LCD As with most point and shoot cameras, photos come out best in bright conditions, but I would recommend any camera with electronic stabilization to get an optically stabilized camera.
