Review on πŸ” Enhanced SEO: ATEM Mini HDMI Live Switcher by Blackmagic Design by Chun Chun ᠌

A good product at a good price, I advise you to try it.

controversial sensations after six months of operation. in terms of usability in conjunction with obs studio, at first glance it looks like real "black magic". the entire set, complete with inexpensive cameras and cables, fits in two bags and is deployed on site in an hour. compare with the pro equipment that a minivan occupies along with a director, sound and video operators. But the features that do not allow this mixer to be considered professional begin: firstly, terrible noise at the audio input. hands are not crooked, I tried EVERYTHING including different microphones, settings, gates, etc. just TERRIBLY noise built-in ADC. I had to run the sound through an additional audio interface. as for the video: the quality is normal, the functionality is excellent, integration with zoom in two clicks, recording via obs. BUT lags - the movements are not smooth, there is a tricky bug with an unstable video (see comments to the review). but for recording presentations, this is not critical. Either way, there are no options. either rent as a service for 50-100 thousand per event, or build your own set for 200 (atem mini + 3 panasonic v770 + mic + converters and senders + audio interface). and one more thing - you need to put it on some heat-removing platform, on a wooden table it overheats in an hour and hdmi signals start to fall off.

Pros
  • All in one. live broadcasting to 3 cameras with sound can be done by one. for undemanding environments and presentations via zoom it's the best.
Cons
  • Overheats. noisy sound. some problems with the smoothness of movements and lags on usb (the reason is not clear), there is a tricky and very strange bug (see below). small range of delays between video and audio (only 8 frames). in my case it took 100ms. obs decides!
