Review on Remington MB6850 Vacuum Stubble and Beard Trimmer: Lithium Power, Adjustable Length Comb with 11 Settings (2-18mm) by Randi Hernandez

Worse product than Phillips vacuum trimmer

I've had both Phillips 7200 trimmers and after 7 months of use (2 year warranty) it failed, I believe it will be a more reliable product (5 year warranty). The truth is I prefer the old Phillips that I had. The Remington vacuum trimmer only captures about 50% of the hair it cuts, while the Phillips trimmer gets closer to 80%. It's downright scary to use around the mustache for fear of pressing too hard and cutting too close. The Phillips vacuum trimmer had a very hard plastic part that allowed for an easy and even shave. The height adjustment slide mechanism is useless due to the flexible plastic cover, but it's also a bit harder to get the adjustment right even if it had a useful guard. The Phillips vacuum trimmer uses a rotary wheel that is easier to use and has more precise settings. The Remington vacuum trimmer is much louder and has more vibration than the Phillips trimmer and keeps changing pitch in an annoying way while cutting hair, as if the motor is struggling. So if anyone is reading this, take a look at the Phillips 7200. I know it has a shorter warranty and in my case broke down in less than a year, but I'll admit I wasn't that bothered, as it should. I will be returning my Remington to buy another Phillips and I'm sure that with gentler care (not running the vacuum under water etc.) it will last longer.
