Wow, they work surprisingly well!

I bought these with a $15 crimping tool and of course didn't need the tool. They don't send you instructions so you have to figure out what to do, but basically you just slide the wires through the top mini tray and then lower it onto the Keystone. Then fold back the top plastic piece to lock it. They also give you little zip ties so you can be sure it stays locked forever. The little clips are unlikely to come loose without a tie, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Use a sharp knife or razor blade to snip off the small wires that need to be cut. I recommend cutting them one at a time rather than trying to cut all four at once. Once you get the hang of it, it will go really fast! I have no experience with long-term data throughput, but looking at how it's set up, it should work just like any other RJ-45 network connection. Thanks guys, I'll probably always use this!

Pros
  • Category 6 cable
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
