Very easy to use, works great! I love it!

It's MUCH easier than the old keystone jacks that require a piling tool, it's almost reliable with it, I've installed several and they all worked right away the first time. Gives a nice clean look, not that you have to look into the wall panel very often in this part in most cases. I will definitely be using them for all my keystone jacks from now on.

Simple patch panels without tools

I don't understand the 1 star ratings. I connect thousands of cables to patch panels, patch cords, outlets, etc. every year. I wear out several crimping and punching tools. This has got to be the easiest interruption I've ever made. 100% success with no problems. I will definitely use them again. You are wonderful.

Good idea, bad execution

Tried a few times with different keystones from the set. All have failed. The blades are not sharp enough to cut through the insulation and make good contact. They're supposed to be easier than traditional perforated ones, but I've spent a lot more time stripping individual wires to make them work. After several attempts I gave up and sent the package back. A complete waste of time.

Brilliant design, easy to implement

I've been making punches and meshes since the mid 90's. I was really blown away when my first try with them was good and my second, on a compromised (heavily weathered, 24 year old) Category 5 cable, had nearly identical throughput. Much quicker to put together than plugging in a plug adapter, so I decided to use those and then complete the circuit with one of the many extra patch cords I'd accumulated over the years and just tossed in a box in the garage. instead of making a male fork. Wow, they work surprisingly well!

I bought these with a $15 crimping tool and of course didn't need the tool. They don't send you instructions so you have to figure out what to do, but basically you just slide the wires through the top mini tray and then lower it onto the Keystone. Then fold back the top plastic piece to lock it. They also give you little zip ties so you can be sure it stays locked forever. The little clips are unlikely to come loose without a tie, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. Use a sharpโ€ฆ

  • Crumpled packaging

Not entirely tool-free

One reviewer said if you don't already know how to make network connections, you probably shouldn't. That's some nonsense. There are many videos and websites that explain this. If you've never pulled a cable before, you probably don't have many of the tools you need. Explore and you'll get deals on everything you need. These keystones are not tool free, you will need wire cutters to trim these protruding wires (see supplier images for product). I also had to use channel locks to pinch oneโ€ฆ
