Bought this motor to replace the cooling fan on my 2004 Volvo XC90 2.5T. The dealer offered over $600 for a replacement and twice that if they had to remove the dashboard to get to the fan, which is absolutely unnecessary. It took me about an hour to replace this myself, but you'll have to snap off one of the mounting tabs that sits on the firewall and can't be reached without removing the dash. Even if the fastening strap is broken, the blower housing seals well when screwed on. Went ahead and bought a new resistor instead of reusing the old one. Evan-Fischer EVA10972049433 Fan motor resistor Front 12 volt blade type With 2 pin and 4 pin connectors Comes with a black case which is great because I destroyed the old one trying to pull it out. There are some great blower tutorials on YouTube. Substitute. I looked at a few before deciding to do it myself. The fan is much quieter and extensive maintenance is no longer required to start the fan.
