I had read many reviews about the ceco 1000 and was about to buy it when I came across this new version and instead risked spending a few bucks more for it. I'm glad I did, it's a nice little mountain bike light. The light color is pleasant, like that of a modern LED car headlight. It has a medium beam width, not super wide or super narrow. I like the elastic rubber band that makes it easy to remove and install without tools. One button controls everything based on how long you hold the button down, so it's a good idea to read the instructions first and play with the lights before running out. dark. In night mode, the button toggles between Night Pulse -> Low -> Medium -> Medium High -> High and then returns to Night Pulse by pressing a button. There's a bit of a learning curve to stopping on high without going too far with one click and switching back and forth between all power levels to get back on high. You don't want to dazzle oncoming cyclists or cars with high beams.
