This garment fits true to size. This is a compression garment so going up in size won't help. The whole idea of compression underwear is COMPRESSION. It's not designed for comfort. Finally, your body will get fit with the shapewear. I am 2 weeks post liposuction. I have a 30 inch waist and currently weigh 162 pounds and the medium faja fits perfectly. It was a little difficult to put on at first, but once I put it on IT WAS ON.
