Review on DII Basic Terry Collection Windowpane Gray Dishcloth Set, 6 Pieces, 12x12 by Michael Ringgold

I originally bought these about two years ago so when I needed more I grabbed them right away! However, they are NOT the same as the ones I originally bought, neither like nor like! They are said to be 100% cotton, which automatically means highly absorbent, which is what the first set was. I felt like they came with some kind of 'finish' but it was washed/washed off. IT DID NOT HAPPEN! Even after multiple washes with hot water, detergent, and even borax, they still have "that feel" and do NOT absorb water well, but they do move and spread the water over kitchen countertops and the sink. not what i buy. Rags for dishes. I WANT and EXPECT my kitchen towels to be absorbent, so I only buy 100% cotton. They say they are 100% cotton but DEFINITELY NOT! There seems to be some sort of polyester in the fibers, which does NOT make it a 100% cotton blend! This is a false description and false advertisement for potential buyers who only use and expect 100% cotton kitchen towels! BIG WASTE OF MONEY, now I have expensive rags to wipe down my dirty dog!
