Review on 🌀 AC Infinity T8 AIRCOM – Ultra-Quiet Rear-Exhaust Cooling Blower Fan System for Receivers, Amplifiers, DVRs, and AV Cabinet Components by Justin Herman

just received it today and I have to say I'm impressed. The first thing that struck me was that the thing is quite heavy, which to me suggests it wasn't built cheaply. I only see metal, no plastic. The only thing I would like is that they don't round off the ends of the faceplate. It seems to me that it can only be used on Marantz. I would have preferred the corners to be rounded to better match my Denon AVR-4810CI. In any case, this detail is certainly not a deal breaker. After unboxing it, I was ready to put it right on top of the Denon, plugged it in, and it started straight away. Thanks to the very well written and easy to follow instructions, it only took a few quick minutes to set it up the way I wanted and it lowered my receiver temperature by 5 degrees in minutes. I found it good that the display can not only be dimmed in 3 different stages, but can also be switched off completely if desired. I've wanted something like this for a long time and as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to buy it. I had a small fan clip on my component rack that looked cheesy, but I know it's important to keep your expensive electronics cool, so I put up with it. This Aircom T8 is great and if you occasionally want to turn on some music and watch movies at cinema volume then your amp/receiver will get hot or worse hot which is bad news. Not only does heat shorten the life of the components in your electronics, but the hotter something gets, the worse it sounds. I would recommend one of these Aircoms to anyone. They're well built, easy to set up, have a beautiful display, and fill an absolute need for anyone smart enough to keep their toys cool. and so if you set it to change the fan speed at 2 degree intervals instead of 4 degree intervals, the device should measure the temperature every second as it goes from say 87 to 88 and then to 87 and 88 degrees changes fast sequences. , changing the fan speed, and since the fans aren't entirely silent, this can be quite annoying. I prefer the 2 degree setting because I think 4 stretches how the device should respond, but I think AC Infinity should have limited the temperature reading time to about every 15 seconds or even 30 seconds instead of having the device move around moves forward and backward, forward and backward as the fan moves up and down, up and down. Yes, that can be annoying. If they come out with a newer model that doesn't, I would sell that one and buy a new one. One more change: After 3 years of ownership, the display is so dim you can barely read it and it's set too high. When it was new it was nice and bright. They must be using cheap LEDs. I'm deducting a star for that, but it's still noisy.
