UPDATE March 2020: Enjoy this bread maker to the fullest. I had no problems with that at all. The bread is fantastic. While I don't know exactly what the beep is that sounds 1 hour 42 minutes before the main lunch time, is it to add something to the top of the bread? Who knows. I never understood that. But there is a damn good bread, and that's what matters to me. I continue to bake bread on this machine twice a week. Perfect bread every time. i love this car UPDATE April 2019: I had so many problems that I decided to contact the manufacturer, what a stand alone business! They worked to solve my problem and I haven't had any problems since! I love the great texture of breadman bread so I was ready to live with the struggle but after contacting them the problem was solved and I got back to making our favorite Jalapeno Bread 2 Preparing once a week - I didn't have any - that's a problem. I like it! I definitely recommend this machine, it makes delicious bread. Previous Review: I owned a Bradman machine for 22 years until the blade support ring broke. I couldn't find replacement parts, so I tried various other brands of bread maker that I could find nearby. None of them even come close to my original Bradman. I was happy to find this one! I love the texture of the bread and the fact that I know Bredman very well. I was pleased to see that a collapsible spatula was added to avoid those nasty indentations in the slices. I am very disappointed that the spatula pops up many times throughout the bread making process. Every time I bake bread I have to be there because the dough is tearing off the spatula and I have to take out the dough and dig out the spatula while waiting for it to stop so I can work quickly to put the spatula back on and put it back on. Bring the dough back into shape. I've gotten very good at recognizing the sound when it goes away and the dough stops kneading. This is incredibly frustrating! Just this morning my paddle fell off 4 times. 4 times! I wish I could find a way to prevent this. This machine makes excellent bread, I bake fresh bread twice a week. I am never disappointed with ready made bread. But I seriously wish I could do something about the spatula detaching. UPDATE: I bake fresh bread twice a week. The spatula of this machine will fall at least 5-6 times for each loaf. every time
