Take the screwdriver out of the box. The tail is very difficult to attach. Save yourself some frustration and add some wd-40 to the pins before attempting to break the tail. I'm generally handy with my hands and had no trouble getting it out of the box, but it did annoy me that I needed a screwdriver. I stuck the wire in the tail and squeezed. It didn't connect, and the upper seam of the tail began to diverge. I've read reviews that say it requires "some force" to attach. I squeezed harder. It is very inconvenient to do this without breaking your neck and splitting your tail. I ended up reassembling it after smearing some wd-40 on the pins. The top seam came undone, but I was able to put it back together with some effort. In general, the toy is fine for the process. It's loud, big, dinosaurs so my 6 year old loves it. My son gave up the remote control because all he wants is to beat up the dinosaurs in epic battles. He might have been a little disappointed when I gave him a tail because wagging his tail was more dangerous and fun.
