I bought this oversized brown bag/backpack a few weeks ago for an upcoming trip (I'm a "mom friend" and tired of carrying the weight of the world on one shoulder ). I gave him a few practice runs and although he's not as full as he should be he did very well. First, regular water bottles (16.9-20 ounces) fit very nicely in the side pockets. Didn't get a chance to taste more but I think as long as the bottle is round I could use a bit more. The front pockets aren't very wide - they fit an iPhone 6 or 8, but some larger phones or bulkier cases might not fit. The main compartment is on the back for security reasons. There's a zipped pocket on the inside of the flap that's big enough for a credit card holder and your keys, with some room, and there are two open pockets inside: one for storing my phone and the other for sunscreen. The main compartment was large enough to still hold my backup sandals (size 9 women's), wallet, gimbal, water bottle, one of those phone chargers that's bigger than a phone, a t-shirt, a small container of leftovers, and myself had a job. I tested it with my running shoes before adding water and leftovers and I think it will still hold up. It distributes the weight evenly, is comfortable to wear, looks really good and the straps are easy to adjust. If you're not careful, curl up at the bottom and make sure the wallet strap is off or hanging in front before putting it on as a backpack. The wallet strap works well but is slippery and not adjustable. It hangs a little low for my personal comfort (lower legs on me) but I'm sure it looks good and feels like a regular handbag when carried like this. The strap zips up so you can easily change it if you like it better. The wrist strap is nice and durable and I've used it more times than I expected. I don't think it's real leather due to the thinness and the small piece of fabric that came with it, but if not it's a much higher quality imitation than what I'm used to. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.
