Review on Guardian Fall Protection Internal System - Model 11203 by Michael Hughes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The highest quality you expect from a safe product.

Purchased for scaffolding. OSHA has fall protection regulations for scaffolding workers, but for erectors, you knew it was a dangerous job, right? I was using a harness and chain until I saw a picture of the stopping power of such a hold. OH! Without going into too much detail, let me put it this way: Ladies, this shoelace would be cheap insurance for you, but you can pretend it's a "gift" for your husband. After a hard fall without one of these shock absorbers, the blue pill will not fix anything. I think it might qualify for one of those special 'non-lethal Darwin awards'. (You know when you will be removed from the gene pool without being removed from the population). Back to Product Review: *I have large "rebar hooks" so I can attach directly to something large (2.5" gate). Gate opening in a standard hook is only 3/4" per call to the Guardian. The rebar hook is strong and has an OSHA limit of 5,000 pounds.* When closed, the hook and bolt engages a notch that prevents the hook from breaking off the bolt under heavy loads, which definitely increases the workload.* I have a double line , damit ich zu 100 % angebunden klettern kann. It is very natural to release with one hand, but prevents accidental twisting release.* There is a shock indicator on each cable. the autumn. Average holding power is 900 pounds with a shock band (imagine without!).* Another bonus not mentioned in the ad but taken from the Guardian website: The Guardian will replace your system components for free if you fall. I haven't done it yet. had to use this product. I mean I didn't use it in the falling sense. I plan to update the review if that happens (possibly to a higher rating). A rough calculation shows that your last anchor should be at least 19 feet from the deck. (6ft from anchor to D-ring + 6ft worker height + 4ft extension and 3ft "edge”). I hooked my first hook at 15 feet. In my opinion, zero margin and most of the stretch is better than nothing. Eventually I bought from HarnessLand. My pre-purchase questions answered, shipped quickly and well packaged. Unfortunately this product is not made in the USA but the quality is there. If you don't have one and your feet are more than 15 feet from the deck, it's a lot cheaper than a trip to the emergency room. , or morgue. The quality of this device gives you the confidence you expect from a safe product.
