I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. This key was perfect for my needs. The metal contacts in my former key fell off (I don't know why they are made so crappy and brittle). This led to a lot of disturbances, open windows, unlocked doors and sometimes not working at all. This completely solved my problem. If your board is intact and there are no other problems besides the metal contact, it will definitely fix the problem. This key is identical except for the Jeep badge on the back. If I went to the dealer to fix it, they would charge me $500 for a new key and reprogram it all over again. If your key is broken, do this as a first step! It costs $20. I'm tempted to buy more if this happens to my other key as well.
