The sound is not good at all.

The $9 alarm clock I bought at Walmart over a decade ago has better sound quality than this thing. The aux plug works when it wants to. I might have gotten a broken one, but the light is annoying, can't be turned off or adjusted, and doesn't even flash in sync with the music. He does what pleases him. Garbage. He's not even good enough to call crap. At least at some point in their lives, trash served a purpose. This thing sucks from day one. Pure garbage. I don't know why I even ordered this crap, waste of space.
