I honestly have to say, I was either lucky or the other reviews are just unjustified negative statements. I needed to buy a monitor with gaming features and options for a workstation on a budget. I was looking for something that could give me multiple options like RGB, display port, curve screen and most importantly width. So I found this monitor and read the reviews but there were some negative comments which worried me and prevented me from completing my monitor purchase for a few months. The need for a monitor for my work began to grow. So I finally decided to buy this monitor and while I was waiting for it to arrive I won't lie I was expecting the worst. I even chose to use an extra box to cover the manufacturer's box just to add an extra layer of protection to the monitor. To my surprise, the monitor arrived and the extra box was larger than the screen box with no airbags. or anything for protection but the main box was in good condition. The only thing I saw and worried about was that the main box had a bulge on the cardboard side and even a through hole like something had pierced the surface, luckily the monitor wasn't next to the damage to the box so the screen good . I connected the monitor and I can say that I am satisfied with my purchase. It has a nice thin bezel and great picture quality. It may take a few manual adjustments to get the right image, but overall it has great colors. In one review I saw that it wasn't bright enough. I didn't notice that at all, on the contrary, it has enough brightness for my taste. HDR is great too and brightens the colors a bit, it can look a bit reddish but doesn't ruin the experience much, but some options to tune the screen to better quality can be disabled if you have HDR enabled, so remember. For gaming I've used it for a few games, not hardcore games but to name a few. had Innocence a Plague Tale and Doom Eternal and the refresh rate is amazing, not around 200MHz due to my GPU but good enough to get smooth action and not a single screen tear when using AMD Free Sync. The only thing I'm not sure if it's a monitor is that over time while playing I get dizzy with nausea but that mostly happens to me in first person shooters but another game I tested is in third person, so I'm not sure, like I said, it's handy for work. My main intention in using the monitor is to create and edit videos so that they deliver what I need, which is excellent color balance and a large screen area for increased productivity. The stand is tall and stiff but it has long legs and can be tricky to place if you have other screens, it might be better with a vesa mount which I don't have so I had to do a little work to fit the screens to place my table on it. Overall and so far this is one of my best bunnies that I really feel was a bang for the buck.
