Review on πŸ’¨ Elchim 8th Sense Hair Dryer: 36 Heat & Speed Settings, Sunset Copper - Professional Blow Dryer by Ronnie Sorensen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Broken/expensive hair care

This review is for the Elchim 8th Sense hair dryer. 1) At the time of writing this review, the price is $250. WHY? This is madness! 2) After about a minute of use, the nozzle will get very hot, and oh watch your fingers! Therefore, this Elchim 8th Sense hair dryer comes in a nice box. If you open the box, the hair dryer looks used. It had one of the attachments attached, and none of them were wrapped. Usually when you buy a new hair dryer the cords come coiled up and at this price point you would expect that. The box inside was also dirty. So I'm not sure if they are all like this, or is it used? It comes with a diffuser and two nozzles. There is an instruction booklet that you have to flip through to find the English part (swipe to the middle). The hair dryer has good performance and a cold start button. The power button moves from left to right, so if you're used to the power button moving up and down, it might feel awkward. There are 2 buttons you can press up and down to adjust the amount of heat. It looks like it should glow, but it doesn't. It has a long cord. When I tried to remove the one attachment that was on it when it arrived, it won't come off. So it's broken and I'm wondering if this part is supposed to get that hot even when it's on for less than a minute. So my 1 star rating is based on the device I got. It appears to have been used upon arrival and is damaged as I cannot remove one of the attachments. How would my rating change if the unit was new, the nozzle released as it should, and the barrel didn't feel very hot (more so than other hair dryers I've tried)? A little. I would rate it maybe 2 stars? The price is crazy for what it is, I've had dryers in the $50 range that I liked more and found the on/off button to be awkward. It has good power (I think 1875 watts?). The description says it can be for everyone (babies) but please be careful with children because if you buy a block like mine the child can easily get burned when touching the concentrator.
