This product is too long even on the lowest setting. After just a few uses, the plastic setting on it snapped in half and broke. I had to sew it myself so it could be used (I also made it shorter). Our dog is large and we drive a van. We bought it for security reasons. Since we don't use the center console in our van, the dog can climb into the front seat quite easily, I have to say this keeps him well in the back seat when we had to hit the brakes or take a quick turn. Just make sure to stow the seat belt buckle under the seat. Our dog stepped on the seat belt release button and freed himself while I was driving. I didn't pay much for this product so I think I got what I paid for. I would not recommend this product
