I chose this scanner because I wanted the highest quality scanned images. The box says the scanner supports 1600dpi, but the software downloaded from the website only works at 600dpi. When scanning, an error appeared that there was not enough memory to scan at a resolution of 600 dpi and errors may occur. I'm using it on a Surface Book 2 with 16GB storage and Windows 10. The scanner still scanned without errors, but there was a line on each side after each scan. I'll try to get support, but most likely I'll get it back.
