This device uses about 470 W of power at all times. I was hoping it would draw less to be perfect for running a camping inverter. which is doable but need a more powerful inverter directly from the battery. This device actually boils water. 2 cups of room temperature water in about 7 minutes. There is a star deduction for the fact that it is difficult to clean if necessary and the silicone is a bit unstable. Not bad for the price and does what it says on the tin.
