Review on PANOOB Security Waterproof Detection Recording by Jonathan Sriubas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fully ONVIF compliant, easy to install but no instructions. wide angle.

I have installed many IP cameras over the years and my current system consists of a 4 camera NVR and a 16 camera NVR with cameras of different brands and models. One thing I can say - there is ONVIF and there is ONVIF. I have 7 ONVIF cameras that have been working for several months. 5 works great. For some reason 2 of them have video streams which none of the NVRs can record. So now I'm testing the zone setup and recording before installing the cameras and letting them work for a few days. This camera worked flawlessly with my NVR. The build quality is excellent - solid aluminum. The protective screen over the camera lens is made of glass. POE can (obviously) be done via a network cable or via a separate 12V connector. The 12V connector has a waterproof cap. A waterproof network cable case works well with plenty of room for ports. The bracket is really strong. Use the hex wrench to loosen the handle and adjust the angle and base position. It has metal teeth in the "hand" and really fixes the camera in the right position. No documents or instructions - just a QR code and URL. Once there, there are probably 100 guides to choose from. I had to search for the right method of elimination. "Not wireless. Not thermal. etc. All I wanted was a temporary password so I could get into the camera settings - I really like manufacturers that have a removable name and password label on the camera - it saves so much time. Photos: Screenshot of main setup screen (blurred camera image), photo of our camera monitor with this camera in full screen mode. Zero complaints - (except for the instructions) it works the way I wanted it to.
