If you love the sound of fried bacon in the background of your recordings and want all voices to sound like they're two rooms away, then this recorder is for you. All voices seem distant and almost unintelligible unless you are directly above them. It sounds like an old RadioShack omnidirectional dynamic mic plugged into a faulty mixer channel with a half bad TL072 and the gain is greatly reduced. I adjusted the recording volume with a .txt file but no real change. It just made the constant background noise louder. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I'll box it up and send it back.
