Review on Wireless Programmable Temperature Controller With Remote Sensor For Greenhouse - DIGITEN WTC100 by Mike Pearson

The Run Ruins it good for me

Nice and easy to read display and solid build. It works, but has a Big Flaw. There are Run and Stop settings. So far so good. However, if using with a heater, the heater will Not come on Until the room temperature falls BELOW the Run temperature you have set, and only then comes on!This means, that if you are about to go to bed, and you want it to warm the room a little, you must Wait for the room temperature to Drop down Below your Run setting, even though the room temperature is well below your Stop setting!Similarly, if using with an air conditioner, the ac unit will Not come on Unless / Until the room temperature rises ABOVE the Run temperature you have set, and only then comes on, even when the room temperature is well above the Stop setting! So as much as I wanted to like this, it is not only over complicated, but it is inconvenient.

Pros
  • Where you place the remote is the place's temperature that controls the outlet switch.
Cons
  • Expensive - The DIGITEN WTC100 is relatively expensive compared to other temperature controllers on the market. This may be a deterrent for those on a tight budget
