Review on πŸ”§ Installerparts 8U Hinged Extendable Wall Mount Bracket - Maximum 13.5" Depth, Crafted from Heavy-Duty Steel by Amy Fenner

It was a good upgrade

So I switched from two wooden shelves in my small closet to this 8U rack. Some of the things I liked about him. #one. The size. Measuring how big a wall shelf I can install. I wanted to install a 4U rack. In fact, I still have it, but then I checked again and decided to go lower by removing the bottom wooden shelf and raising it a bit higher. I have a border at the top with a rosette at the top and a hanger at the bottom. After measuring, I saw that an 8U unit could be placed in that space. #2. The depth is adjustable. If you don't need a very deep chamber you can do this, but if you need more space you can increase the depth to 13.5 inches. about 10+. #3. I like 4 separate loops. You have them on the left or on the right. Mount them one way or another. I have them on the left. This made it easier for me to install the bottom patch panel. I installed one side and I could rotate it just enough to install the keystones and tie the cords in place much easier. I'm in a small closet so there isn't much room to work! #4. Nice big hole in the back is handy for running wires. My problem was that the 2x4 is almost in the middle of this hole. It's not normal at all. So I had to make the hole on the left slightly larger to fit all of my cables. It's also mounted on 3/4" birch plywood that I painted to match the rest of the cabinet color. It's only bolted to the 2x4 in the center with four bolts. It's heavy! The rack bolts to it with 6 smaller bolts. The nice thing was that instead of a whole board I could take a smaller piece of birch plywood. Cut out the size I needed. Then I finished all the edges. You can see the finished results. Well I have a little something here for those Future to do. I'm also planning to install POE IP cameras in the future. You can see how it looks at the moment, more than half ready to go. I also have an upgrade from a 24-port Zyxel managed switch to a 48 port switch managed by Zyxel. One of the reasons I went with them is that their switches aren't as deep as many others. In this case the depth is just under 8". So if you have a 10" deep rack, you can still install a 48-port switch if you want! at 716. Plus a free T-Moble ASUS router. Sits on the ventilated AC Infinity Cantilever 1U universal rack shelf. There are 2 of them and they are 10.5 inches deep. I then use an empty NavePoint 1U vented rackmount standoff. The second shelf has a cable modem, an HD Homerun connected to an antenna, and a Tivo Stream next to it. Including 2 24-port Keystone Cat6/Cat 6 patch panels for rack or wall mounting (empty patch panel). Fits into the black Cat6 RJ45 Keystone Jack cable I use for Cable Matters. There is also a Networx Wall Plate Connector - Black and MOERISICAL EM1 EM1ZT-10P CAT6 Keystone Jack Straight Unshielded. GearIT Cat6 cable 1 ft. Then there is the Zyxel GS1900-48 port switch and the CyberPower OR700 UPS.
