Review on Rivins RV-7 Walkie Talkies For Adults 6 Pack 2-Way Radios 22 Channel FRS Walkie Talkies UHF Handheld Walky Talky (Black/Orange) by Brant Skogen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

You should buy this for your children! Surprisingly good and versatile.

This is a glowing review. And legal. I bought them and held my breath, but I'm happy to report that my breath was not wasted. If you've researched walkie-talkies, you know that there are many two-way communication options at different price points. Many of them have impressive 4.5/5 star ratings unless you read the reviews and become suspicious. Many two-way devices have limited capabilities, useless features, or fatal flaws (I list proprietary batteries as fatal flaws). My mission was simple: find an inexpensive, long-range walkie-talkie for the kids to use when we go camping. , or when they bike around the block. I leaned heavily towards the Motorola or the Raveis or other Chinese models with fancy names. But then I saw them and took a picture. I'm glad I did. BENEFITS: • I can hear my kids across the block. And far enough in the forest. (I haven't done a thorough distance test yet, but am happy so far.) • At $39.99, that's $10 for a walkie-talkie. Get lost. • Powered by AAA battery. I use batteries. • The battery cover does not fall off. • SIMPLE setup and programming. • The belt clip works. • Headset jack (I bought an inexpensive IFREQTECH headphone/mic kit for $2/$12) • Voice activation option • 22 channels with multiple privacy codes per channel. • Easy-to-understand instructions. • It has a tiny flashlight function. And a glowing screen. • Somehow all children remember their individually programmed personal ring tone. • Choose your color! • They are so cheap that there is no awkward feeling if one or two are lost or blocked. I'll just buy another one. CONS: • There are a few annoying things too small to mention here • I don't think it's waterproof but we haven't soaked any yet • IF they go wrong I'll post an update. OVERVIEW: • If you're a traveler, motorcyclist, parent, student, or adventurer and don't want to tediously spend hours reviewing the walkie-talkies section here at Revain, just buy one. The price is right and the quality is reasonable - maybe more than reasonable. • Five stars.
