First of all, this seems to be a FITTED jacket - meaning it fits close to the body and is not "relaxed" at all. If you don't prefer this type of fit, this jacket is not for you.I am 5' 11" and about 130 pounds, I ordered the medium (my usual size) and thought it may be a bit larger according to their size chart. This fits me as any medium does but, as noted, it seems to be fitted in style; I'm not sure a heavier person would be able to wear this in any size.The color is rather dark (brown), which I am very pleased with, and has the "distressed" look. This will vary due to the nature of the leather. The side pockets are pretty shallow and made from seemingly light material, and there is a inside pocket on both sides.Overall the jacket is very well made. It has a quilted lining which makes it more of a year round jacket and it is not heavy at all.This was an instant favourite right out of the box.
