All I wanted was a pure cotton mattress pad made in the USA. You can't find that in stores anymore. They all carry the same products from China, repackaged under brand names, expensive junk. The Allersoft cover is a heavy, very white cotton with a smooth surface. Cut generously. It doesn't fit exactly on my slightly undersized mattress, but I haven't washed it yet. I am very satisfied Due to the quality of the mattress topper I bought pillowcases and a duvet cover. I heard these covers wrinkle after washing. I know. However, I used to have a natural cotton duvet cover that was wrinkled and looked very rich. It doesn't matter on a mattress topper anyway. Cotton goods coming from abroad are of very poor quality and often smell bad. Allersoft was a nice reminder of the good old days. It even smelled good.
