It is quite easy to install and you can install it like other screen protectors. When installing I highly recommend doing this in VERY bright light as this will give you a much better view of the edges of your iPad and will make it easier for you to align the screen protector and the iPad screen. I installed it on my 2nd generation iPad (model A2228) in minutes. I installed this in normal lighting and my contact lenses were partially displaced so they were blurry when I installed them the first 3 times. Although I got it wrong the first 3 times it was forgiving and still held on nicely on the 4th try (when my contacts stopped rotating and I could see clearly again). I'm really glad it's so forgiving! As you can see, it really covers the iPad from edge to edge, except for the top where the camera and webcam are.
