We received the item 3 days ago and I have followed the advice to wash it before use. Once it dried I put it on our bed and that night my elderly husband had an accident and I had to strip the bed. It worked exactly as advertised, there was not a stain on our new sleep number mattress! Needless to say, we were pleased that Earth didn't leak. I was concerned about washing the mattress pad without bleach as I wanted to make sure I got all the stains out, but that didn't turn out to be a problem. The Luna product turned out to be as pure as possible. We also liked that the Luna product is very large and soft. If there's been one complaint, it's that it takes so long to dry because you have to resort to low heat to dry. Yes, I definitely recommend this product and will be ordering another one in the near future.
