I have used this protector 3 times now for showering. The first time was covering surgical packing material and a splint. The second time it covered a cast. This time I removed my walking boot and simply covered the cotton and gauze that I wear under the boot. Not only did it keep my leg completely dry but it didn’t cut off circulation at the top like Zi thought it might. It’s very comfortable, seals well, and covered my leg completely. My calves are a bit large but not huge. The protector covered me and the split/cast/packing material with plenty of room to spare. I’m 5’9” tall and it was plenty long enough. The extra large was certainly the correct choice.
