This is a sweetened herbal tongue cleaning gel. I used this with the Tungs tongue brush. The sweeteners in it are good, sorbitol and xylitol, and they're among the first ingredients. This will make your mouth drool and the enzymes in your saliva will also help clean it. Sorbitol and xylitol are sugars that cannot be digested/metabolized by the bacteria in the mouth, causing the bacteria to die. I love the ingredients and I love the product. This isn't the strong mint most people expect from oral care products. It has a sweet herbal taste, it is a good taste. I don't taste any tea tree in it at all, and I'm glad I don't because I hate tea tree. It is a pale green gel. I don't have bad breath so I can't tell if this will cure it or not, but there are several causes of bad breath besides your tongue. You should always brush your tongue whether you have bad breath or not! If you have dry mouth, this product will help with that too. The two things I don't like about this product are the SMALL bottle and the price. Yes, it's only one ounce. For $12, that's a lot. I think if this was repackaged in a much larger bottle for $12 I would definitely repurchase it. Tungs is only $18 for a 12 ounce pack of 4 (3 ounces each) and is even cheaper at S&S. Yes, it has more ingredients that affect the price, but still. I would never buy a 1 ounce bottle of anything. I would have to buy it in bulk or buy it every week. This is a waste of time and money in a 1 ounce bottle. Give me 4 ounces and the best price per ounce I will definitely buy this again! I took off one star because of the size/price. The product itself has 5 stars! I really like it! If anyone else is reading who has bad breath, the cure is the blue-red LED mouthpiece sold in teeth whitening kits. Blue light kills bacteria while red light heals your gums when you have recession or pain. If you have morning breath, light will solve this problem. I would clean your tongue anyway and this gel is great for that, just too small/expensive at the moment. UPDATE: I REALLY love this product. So much so that I went straight to their website and found this item for under 6s so I bought 5 or 6 of these. I also found a Q10 gum gel and something else to try.
