They are at least 2 sizes too small!
Great style. Good sole, comfortable fabric. Not the right size! I wear an American women's size 8.5, maybe a 9. Rarely do I need a 9.5, depending on the style. I figured I was leaving a lot of room for error by ordering a large women's size that fits women's sizes up to a 10.5. Nowhere near! My fingers pull the fabric over the tip of the sole. When I first put them on they feel pretty comfortable but my toes start to hurt soon after. Must order an extra large size US 11-12 to accommodate my US size 9ft. Considering the price, I would not return shoes that were too small. They are brand new and I'm sure I have a friend who can use them. UPDATE: Received a replacement pair in US Women's XL (11-12) and they fit comfortably. Be sure to order FOR SIZE!
