This controller is so similar (in looks and ergonomics) to the Dualshock that it's difficult to tell them apart, but close. The controller feels very good in the hand and the texture of the plastic just can't withstand the double shock. It is rough and looks like an eggshell. I'm sure as soon as the kid stops arguing with one of them, it's done. The controls work the same as the Dualshock, but I wouldn't recommend it for a modern gaming station. You must be close enough to the TV to use the wired remote control. The signal will be detected at a distance of about 8 feet, albeit only that far. On many TVs that are now wall mounted, this forces the player to look up high enough not to hurt your posture and neck unless you have a high enough chair. Old TVs were often on the floor or at least only 3ft off the floor so sitting that close wasn't a problem. But then again, the PS4 wasn't released until the advent of flat screen TVs. I think that says a lot about this controller. All in all a functional replacement, but I wouldn't recommend anything more than a backup controller.
