Not bad for the price but you need a good magnet

I wasn't expecting much for $10 but decided to give it a try. All in all not a bad antenna. The SMA connector was the biggest advantage as it plugged directly into my Radioddity GM-30 GMRS laptop without an adapter. The biggest drawback, as mentioned in other reviews, is the poor quality of the magnet. It won't stay in place at highway speeds and/or high winds. My workaround was to attach a 1/2 inch neodymium disc magnet to the base with gorilla tape, which holds the antenna in place fairly well. The range difference is an improvement over the rubber ducky or whip inside. Auto although I haven't tested range or SWR yet. I wouldn't expect the performance of more expensive antennas, but so far it's worth the price. A weak magnet is definitely a disadvantage, but a quick trip to the hardware store made this a cheap and easy fix.
