It is cool compared to the sun visor. Really cools the car. I don't drive this car often and it's in the sun all day so it was a great way to protect my dash. Installation requires a bit of maneuvering to ensure the sun is blocked and both visors should be down. The sun visor itself is a bit too big, as is my windshield. As I ride more, I might find one that's a little more compact. I installed mine (medium size) in a 2002 Dodge Durango and it fits almost perfectly. No matter how I maneuver, a small streak of sunshine hits the dashboard. If you buy it to cool your car, then it's perfect. When you try to backup your dashboard it works ALMOST perfectly. I just put a sheet of paper down to cover the spot where the little sunstreak falls. Again, for the price it's definitely worth it.
