A quick patch does the trick, but there's more work on the box than you think. I bought this to patch a 2" x 3" hole in a plaster wall. The steps listed are: peel, glue, paint; However, the first step of filling the hole is required. If the hole is not filled to the outside edge of the wall, the patch will sink into the hole. The edge along the perimeter of the patch is also clearly visible both before and after painting. I found it necessary to take a spatula and blend the edges of the plaster while the paint was still wet to blend it into the texture of the wall. Looks much better after repainting.
