The case is very thin plastic and there wasn't much insulation inside which resulted in some odd reverberations at certain frequencies. I opened mine by removing the grille with an awl/pen and removing the 6 Phillips screws. I then covered it with 1/8 inch thick Dynamat glue which seemed to fix the problem. All in all, this is a good value speaker if you're handy and knowledgeable enough to open up the case and add some insulation. If not, choose a more expensive model/brand.
