I double knotted it before our first use and it has held strong, even through the wash.These mittens are super furry inside, which at first made my baby refuse them. I left them hanging through his sleeves and he slowly let me get them on him. After about half an hour in gray, windy upper 30s temps, his hands were quite warm to the touch. I even washed them in a mesh bag and they came out with only mild pilling.I highly recommend these to keep little hands warm and toasty!
