- You can not install the driver without software (in any case, I did not succeed). Due to certain circumstances, I have to use the jack on the front panel of the system unit. In this case: In the software, when sound is output to the headphones, virtual 5.1 is wired, you cannot select stereo. Stereo is available in Direct Sound mode. When Direct Sound is enabled, you cannot use advanced microphone settings (noise reduction, echo cancellation, smart volume) If you connect headphones directly to the card (like speakers), then stereo is always available. The maximum microphone gain is 30db - it's better not to set it and stop at 20. At 30, it picks up too much. +++ No dancing with a tambourine in Linux, stuck it in and went (stereo and 5.1, etc.) __________________ The sound is lively and pleasant. Moved from audigy rx, no regrets. Important: On audigy there was a problem when the card was incorrectly initialized (no sound in Linux, no microphone in windows). This is caused by the fact that the card works capriciously in a short PCI slot. There is no such problem in the long version. In my new motherboard, in principle, there are no short slots, and I was too lazy to check the new zk on the old mp. If someone has such a problem - you know what to try first of all;)
