I was in a bind and needed this to get my new oil temp and pressure gauge running for a day. Plate. Websites and pictures do a terrible job of conveying where they are on this and the standard sandwich plate which I assume only has one. does not reach the desired temperature when driving on the freeway. I have to block my oil cooler to keep the oil temp at around 190-200 on the road and highway, which effectively negates the thermostat function of this product. I can buy a higher temperature thermostat for my next oil change, but I don't. very much tbh. Decent product, just think of a standard thermostat for your application. Otherwise the device is of good quality and I am satisfied after 2 days of tracking.
