My friend lives in his mobile home and doesn't know this idea. He left his black tank tap open for over a year. Noticing this I warned him of the danger and he asked me to see if it could be fixed. The sensor readings indicated the tank was full, although it clearly wasn't. I filled and emptied the tank about 3 times and only one of the lights went out (indicated at 3/4 full). Insert 1/3 of the bottle, fill the reservoir and leave overnight. It took 2 more treatments, the rest of the bottle (and a full week) to get all the gauges clean and the tank lights working. I'm not deducting a star for the abuse of the system. It took multiple treatments over several weeks to get the job done, but it worked.
