Updated 10/01/17 *Beds hold their shape despite multiple washes and dryers (just dry or medium heat). No shifting of materials or ridiculous fluffing of the filling like throwing some pillows in the dryer. Used regularly, both are still in very good condition. Originally bought for camping but also used in outdoor kennels, crates, shelter/training and as a second layer on their plush dog beds. Quality travel cot for dogs. at a great price. Highly recommended. Bought for my 2 GSD (80 lbs 93 lbs, 28-30 inches tall and about 50-53 inches long not counting the tail as they tend to curl it around themselves when they sleep). Both dogs are doing well. XL breeds such as Great Dane, Newfy or St. Bernard do not fit on this bed. Each bed comes with its own nylon drawstring bag. These are lightweight beds that are 2 inches thick (like a thin polyester blanket or a summer sleeping bag cut to the size of a dog bed). Despite repeated washing and shrinking while travelling, they have retained their fill power. No rips, holes or snags - Stuck in duffel bags they are bulky (about the size of 1.5-2 basketballs stacked on top of each other) not a problem for caravaners but maybe some backpackers Our dogs As I got older I padded the beds with tailored closed-cell foam pads. This gives a little extra cushioning and insulation from the cold floor. One side is a soft gray microfiber material with dividers that prevent the filling from moving. has high water resistance. I sprayed the blue back with a hose and the water just rolled off. Damp forest soil or tent condensation won't bother the underside of these beds as the top stays clean and dry. The front tends to hold water when it comes out of the washing machine so I prefer to put the dry blue side up to allow the water to drain off the gray material.
