First, I am hypermobile and my joints subluxe very easily. i live in pain It is great! I am replacing the metagrip cmc braces my doctor gave me and will buy a second set in case I lose them again. no problem and has been for a few weeks. On my old Metagrip braces, the Velcro was attached in such a way that once the Velcro disappeared, the Metagrip strap becomes virtually useless. They are made differently and you can easily replace the velcro. This is perhaps the first thing I want to emphasize. Sounds silly, but it's actually a huge problem - YOU CAN REPLACE THE VELCRO! They also came with a "thumb sleeve" that absorbs sweat and helps with the fit. TBH, the thumb sleeves are great on their own! They are just tight enough to support the low level joint. I have some medical needs that require gloves that don't fit any of the braces I've had, at least uncomfortably; Instead, I wear thumb sleeves. Easy to wash and quick to dry, I would happily buy more of these sleeves! Background: pain in all joints and my hands are getting so bad that I can't stand it anymore. Sometimes I sleep with my hands fully clenched, each finger separated and clenched to the elbow. (Sometimes even elbows!) The carpal joint on the right is almost completely destroyed, on the left it's in bad shape (I can't have an operation due to health reasons). I know braces. It's good.
