My favorite buy so far!

I was in search of some vintage coffee decor for a design I was going for but wasn't thrilled with the condition of most of the antique coffee items found online or the idea of having to put in a lot of effort to restore.I stumbled on this brand new one with the old look and had to have it. Was even happier to see it in person when it delivered and it exceeded my expectations. Well made with all the right touches to it and beautiful look. Purchased only as decor but it is built with…

Pros
  • I bought this for my brother and he loves it!
Cons
  • The small opening for beans makes it difficult to add large amounts at once

An interesting was to start the day.

I really enjoy the grinder. Making my morning cup may take an extra 5 min, but I feel like I've accomplished something when I get it. It's not the fastest or easiest way to grind your coffee, but it's definitely one of the most stylish ways. The grinder works well. It's easy to adjust from course to find grind. Looks nice on my desk next to my coffee maker and mustache waxes.

Pros
  • It's great for small amounts of coffee but it's a lot of work first thing in the morning.
Cons
  • The cast iron hand crank requires more effort to use than electric grinders

The item is absolutely beautiful, but only good for that.Difficult to adjust the grinding pressure and I felt that it is so flimsy that it would break when enough pressure was put on it to grind coffee beans. Would buy the same item at a higher price if it was metal. A great antique reproduction for decorative purposes, I did not keep it because I do not have room in the kitchen for decorations.

Pros
  • Great quality!
Cons
  • The small size may not be able to grind enough beans for a large gathering

Don't forget it is manual and and cheap

First and foremost, I love the look of it. Will look good in any kitchen, the vintage look just makes you want to use it.That part being out of the way, couple of things to point out, first being obvious.IT IS A MANUAL! means you have to do the work! a few comments I have seen about these is that they want the look without doing the work, it is to hard. yeah, it takes work, but it makes your coffee taste better knowing you worked for it.yes, it is made in china, but still a great look, and so…

Pros
  • Coffee, Tea & Espresso
Cons
  • The mesh coffee may not be as hot as other methods of making coffee

cheap plastic GARBAGE!

This is a poorly made plastic knockoff of an old style coffee grinder. I've used it twice just to test it out and decided it makes a better display piece than a functional apparatus. It felt like it was going to break when I was using it. Gears for grinding the coffee are plastic not metal and when you turn the crank to grind it feels like it will snap in your hand. This is a cheap knockoff product of something I have actually used the real 1800's type grinder. If I'd had any brains when my…

Pros
  • Muy lindo, buena inversión
Cons
  • It is not suitable for grinding other types of beans or grains

Missing part best in my review

A cute coffee grinder. It’s exactly the look I wanted but it was missing the handle so I am unable to try it out. Made in China, of course. I wish Revain would carry more items that are made in the USA.

Pros
  • Durable cast iron construction
Cons
  • The small size makes it difficult to grind enough beans for multiple servings

The bottom warped and detached

This was a smaller item than expected. Cool mechanism which worked pretty well, albeit a bit stiffly. Over a few weeks the bottom board warped and detached. I will have to remove it and affix it to some other suitable surface. Not durably made.

Pros
  • Ideal for both beginner and seasoned coffee enthusiasts
Cons
  • The manual process may be more difficult to achieve a uniform grind

Seems to work fine and arrived in good condition. It is for smaller amounts of spices that would be needed in cooking, not for large amounts. Exactly what I wanted. For coffee it would serve for smaller amounts, not large pot fulls.

Pros
  • Used for grinding pepper, doesn’t hold much
Cons
  • Misleading, this item is very small! Not worth $40 at all

Looks awesome on my review.

Got it for decorating the coffee bar- best looking item on the shelf! No idea how it grinds and never plan to grind with it but the construction is great and it looks fantastic.

Pros
  • It’s perfect for decoration
Cons
  • The cast iron hand crank may rust over time

Don’t expect efficiency with this product

Love the vintage look, but it takes forever to grind just a small amount. With the look comes also the feel of living in the old days. Lots of physical work for a small bounty.

Pros
  • Easy to use, love smell of fresh ground coffee
Cons
  • The wooden material may absorb the scent of coffee over time

Beautiful Decorative Piece!

I really like this cute little Coffee Mill. Overall I am very satisfied and I use it to grind fresh coffee! It works well and is easy to assemble and use, It is definitively a kitchen item, not for travel. There are 2 things that need improvement. The little screw that holds the hopper cover on has a tendency to unscrew itself and has to be re-tightened frequently. Also the frame that holds the crank and drive shaft is plastic. I wish it were cast iron like the rest of the Coffee Mill.

Pros
  • Coffee Grinders
Cons
  • The wooden material may be difficult to clean if coffee grounds get stuck in the crevices

Novelty item good for me

Not really good for making coffee on short notice or in bulk. It is insanely small and makes very small amounts of coffee. But, the coffee tastes fantastic. Better to get as a decoration unless you just like spending 20 minutes grinding for a single cup of coffee.

Pros
  • No need for electricity, making it perfect for camping trips or travel
Cons
  • The wooden material may require frequent sanding or refinishing to maintain its appearance

Worth the price good for me

I especially like this coffee grinder as a conversation piece. It grinds coffee fairly quickly, and simple. Coffee tastes better than electric coffee grinder and less noisy. The sound, smell, and taste of fresh ground coffee is unremarkable.

Pros
  • It's a pretty hands on experience, doesn't do super fine grind but it's still worth it.
Cons
  • The mesh coffee may not be as strong or bold as coffee made with other methods

Not really great for using to grind cacao nibs

Work maybe the first time grinding up cacao nibs. I was just trying to get it smaller. Worked maybe for half of it. It's still very cute and nostalgic. But if you're looking for a grinder I suggest a more practical and because this one's gears are plastic.

Pros
  • I made a coffee bar and it looks really good. I have gotten lots of complaints on it.
Cons
  • The mesh coffee may not be as convenient as other methods for making coffee

What impressed me the most was the high quality of craftsmanship and vintage appearance. The metal components are neither pot metal nor pig iron, but are made of cast iron as it easily passed the magnet test.

Pros
  • Originally thought it would produce more grinds per usage.
Cons
  • Very pretty, but I would not use very much due to it's construction

It looks like the picture and works okay, but

Product is as described. It works OK. It does grind coffee at different settings. The base is made of wood, the rest is plastic. If I had to do it over, I would’ve done more research and bought a different product. this is a gift and the recipient was thankful, but they did not want to return it.It could’ve been a lot better quality for the price.

Pros
  • Simply instructions easy to follow. Enjoy the fun with this grinder!
Cons
  • Missing parts

Love the old fashion look

This one looks nice, but the grinding mechanism is made of plastic. I have used it daily for less than a month and the gears have been stripped. Before the gears stripped, I noticed that the gear frame flexed quite a bit during grinding. That had me concerned and my concerns have been realized. Not happy with the quality on this one.

Pros
  • Elegant and stylish design
Cons
  • The cast iron hand crank may become loose over time and require frequent tightening

Perfect for my purpose!

Such a cute addition to my coffee bar! Absolutely would recommend this if you’re trying to decide. Quick shipping, well packaged so no worries about damage. I get so many compliments on it, I love it!

Pros
  • Can be used for other grinding purposes, such as herbs and spices
Cons
  • The mesh coffee may not be as enjoyable without the addition of cream or sugar

Looks great, Inconsistent Grind

We love the look of this coffee grinder. It is super easy to use and adjust the grind, however the grind is inconsistent. We use a course ground coffee for our French Press and have been noticing a lot of powdery and fine ground coffee ends up with the course grind setting. Makes the coffee a little more bitter then we would like.

Pros
  • IMAVO
Cons
  • The mesh coffee may require specialized equipment or filters to make

Nice looking, not very efficient

If you are looking for an easy and efficient coffee grinder this is not for you. It takes a lot of time to grind your coffee and a lot of effort to change how fine you like it. But in my case, I decided to keep it because it looks cute as decor on my coffee bar and people gets curious about grinding their own coffee.

Pros
  • Enables users to control the freshness and quality of their coffee beans
Cons
  • The small size may be impractical for those who need to make coffee in bulk
