Small and cheap. You insert the needle at the top, press the button, make sure the little hook comes out on the side, thread the hook, release the button and pull out the needle. It has to be threaded. You just pull the thread to the end. It also has a small hook at the bottom that you can pull out. Not all needles will fit on top of the hook, so you may want to do this by hand. Insert the hook into the eye of the needle, put the thread over it and pull it through. This is a cute device for my mom.
